What is your most important reason for using social networking sites?

The main reason for using social networking sites  are to help you meet up with new people and socialize. Some are created to help you find old friends. Others are there to help you in some way. Other reason maybe people using social networking sites like: Friendship, community, a sense of belonging. Help with a problem or information on a condition you may have. People who like the same things you like, or listen to the same music you listen to, or need the same thing you need, A place to add your photos, let people view your videos and listen to your favorite music.

 

Is it possible for you to use them in teaching EFL/ESL? Concrete example?

Yes, it is possible for me to use social networking sites. For example: the applications that exist in smart phone can help in teaching ESL and EFL like, learn English grammar or English vocabulary  in apple apps. teacher  Can share videos and picture with students that are helpful to them.

Also Students shared their work on a variety of platforms. On Flickr, they tagged their artwork with "artmooc." On Twitter, they included the #artmooc hashtag. Others posted to Facebook, and continue to do so to this day, even though the course has been over for quite sometime.
